Sustainable fashion and design techniques are explored in non-traditional workshops, where Karen shares her experience and inventive techniques used in her designs. Inventive problem solving solutions are explored with salvage textiles and reclaimed garments that are transformed into artisanal fashion.
These hands-on workshops are designed as creative explorations into traditional textile techniques. Topics range from: Design, Seaming Textiles, Surface Design, Embellishment, Fabric Manipulation, Garment Transformation, Free-Style Draping.
The studio of KAREN LUKACS is located in the beautiful Sonoran Desert of Tucson, Arizona. It was established as a design/production/learning facility, a creative environment in which to work and share.
Acclaimed designers and artists from around the globe are also hosted in the studio to share their skills and inspiration.
