Ikat is a distinctive pattern dying technique where warp or weft, or a combo of both, are dyed prior to weaving. Because of the skill and time, ikats were often considered status symbols.

The denim jeans in this jacket were surface printed to replicate the ikat patterning. Binding and lapel facing fabric is from a traditional ikat fabric swatch.

Jacket silhouette offers raised neckline, dropped shoulder, long sleeves and no closure; along with details preserved from resource reclaimed jeans.

Measures laying flat: 22” chest, armpit to armpit. 22” front hem, sideseam to sideseam. 24.25” back neck to hem.
